Welcome to Xiyao School which is famous for its Character-Education System in southern China. The school was founded in 1999 by Professor Huo Taohui, a well-known Master of Chinese Confucianism .

Occupying an area of 3 hectare, Xiyao School consists of kindergarten Department, Primary School Department and Secondary School Department. Currently the school has 1500 students and 120 staffs.

Xiyao School is committed to excellence in education. We create a supportive environment to help students become responsible and caring in their actions, healthy and happy in study, principled and open-minded in spirit. By addressing each student’s social, emotional, academic and physical needs in a supportive learning environment we prepare students for life in a multicultural world as a global citizen. The school aims at 4 aspects at least as follow,

Character-developing: We practice Character Education System initiated by Professor Huo Taohui and emphasis the importance of developing students’ good characters. Under the Character Education System, students will naturally get to know how to respect others, how to be filial towards parents, how to take responsibilities ,how to learn actively and how to grow with efforts. In our opinion, the students will grow only when their teachers grow in the continuous training by Professor Huo Taohui.

Academic: We provide a school known for excellence with high academic achievement. In the recent 5 years, more than 90% of our students have entered key middle schools. We develop knowledgeable and effective communicators, thinkers and enquirers with a lifelong love of learning.

Social & emotional: We actively promote the development for each student’s knowledge, understanding and skills in key social and emotional aspects of learning. We create a supportive environment to help students be reflective and caring in their actions ,healthy and happy in life, principled and open-mined in spirit. Resilience, motivation and self-worth are promoted.

Learning environment: We continuously upgrade four facilities and resources to provide an effective learning environment. We are authorised and accredited by respected international agencies.
